Francesca Pollicino is a researcher and higher education expert at the University of Messina, specialising in internationalisation processes and EU-funded initiatives. She earned her PhD in Political Science in 2024 with a thesis on the evolution of EU competences in higher education. Her research focuses on EU education law, governance, and Europeanisation processes, bridging legal analysis and policy implementation. She was awarded a Marie Skłodowska-Curie RISE fellowship within the SHADOW project in Georgia. She has authored several publications on EU education and migration policies and regularly presents her work at national and international conferences.
