Hasani Rajapaksha, M.Phil. (University of Peradeniya)
Research Professional
Hasani holds a B.Sc. in Agricultural Technology and Management with a specialization in Applied Economics and Business Management from University of Peradeniya. She recently completed her M.Phil. in Agricultural Economics at Postgraduate Institute of Agriculture (PGIA), where her research focused on total factor productivity and technical efficiency in food and agricultural systems. In 2023, she won the best presenter award at PGIA Annual Congress for one of her research publications, “Technical Efficiency in European Union Food Industry” published in the Journal of Tropical Agricultural Research (Tropical Agricultural Research (2025) 36(2):106-116).
With over 8 years of research experience, Hasani has held positions as Research Assistant at National Science Foundation (NSF) and Investigator at Hector Kobbekaduwa Agrarian Research and Training Institute (HARTI). She is currently a Research professional at CEPA under the thematic area, Natural Resources and Climate Change (NRCC). She has contributed to a range of nationally and internationally funded projects employing both quantitative and qualitative approaches, participatory field methodologies and evidence-based policy analysis.
