Mr. Khamphoui Saythalat
The Director of the Participatory Development Knowledge Agency in Vientiane
Mr. Khamphoui Saythalat is the Director of the Participatory Development Knowledge Agency in Vientiane. In 2015, he graduated from the Faculty of Anthropology, Durham University, UK. His dissertation focused on civil society leadership models associated with sustainability, culture and development. With almost 20-years of professional working experience in the development sector in Lao PDR, he worked with ORSTOM as Junior Anthropology Researcher (1992-1995), UNDP as National Program Analyst under the portfolio for rural development and poverty reduction (1996-2004) and from 2005 to 2018, and in 2019 until the present, in various leadership roles for local civil society organizations namely, PADETC, DECA and PAKA respectively. Along with this, being the consultant team leader, he provided professional consultancy services to various development organizations that include ALiSEA, FEF-OSC French embassy, EFI, WWF, IFAD, and Oxfam Laos.
