Sushant Acharya holds PhD in Development Studies and MA in Human and Natural Resources Study from Kathmandu University. At present, he is in the capacity of Programme Director and Researcher at SIAS where he is involved in projects related to women’s empowerment, community forestry, and rural livelihoods. In addition, he is also serving as a part-time Faculty at Kathmandu University. Prior to joining SIAS, he served as a Development Practitioner for over 12 years in bilateral government organizations in Nepal where he focused on community forest management, enhancing livelihoods, climate adaptation and improving institutional governance.
