FEMENA focuses on identifying the key factors that determine entrepreneurial opportunities for women, as well as understanding the differences between cultural, political, and institutional contexts in Asia and Europe. The project explores how traditions, social norms, and political structures influence the choices, obstacles, and strategies of women entrepreneurs.
The project also seeks to analyze the impact of public policies on women's entrepreneurship. It examines which policies facilitate the creation and development of women-led businesses and which, conversely, may hinder them. This analysis leads to concrete recommendations for policymakers and institutions supporting entrepreneurship.
Among the central questions studied by FEMENA are: What social, economic, and institutional factors create or limit entrepreneurial opportunities for women? How do differences between countries and cultures influence women's capacity to become entrepreneurs? What types of policies and programs are most effective in promoting women's entrepreneurship? These questions allow for a deeper and more nuanced understanding of the conditions that support or hinder women's economic empowerment in different contexts.
