Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań is one of Poland’s leading academic institutions and the principal center of higher education in the region. Its mission is to advance knowledge through high-quality research and teaching, developed in collaboration with business, the professions, public services, and other research and learning providers.
As a center of academic excellence, AMU integrates research and teaching in ways that are both mutually reinforcing and embedded in international, national, and regional contexts. The university continuously updates its research programs and curricula, with particular emphasis on interdisciplinarity and international cooperation. Currently, 613 research projects are being carried out in collaboration with both national and international teams.
AMU is organized into 20 faculties, where research-led training is combined with high-quality supervision in line with the HRS4R policy implemented at the university. Fellows benefit from supervisors’ expertise and professional networks. AMU has been awarded the "HR Excellence in Research" label and has fully adopted the principles of the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers.
